Government grants for individuals are available for a variety of uses and reasons

Most federal grants are given to charities, nonprofits, and community workers, but there is no dearth of government grants for individuals that can be used for a variety of personal uses. The best part is that since it’s grant money, you are not required to repay it. Federal and state governments, and also some private entities give grants of varying amounts, ranging from a few hundred dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars. However, remember that personal grants are not benefit programs. Government housing grants are available to low-income families for repairs, renovations, and down payments

Government housing grants are offered by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and many other government agencies and entities. Block grants by HUD provide flexible resources to help fund affordable rental and homeownership activities, and neighborhood revitalization. HOME Investment Partnership Program, or simply HOME, is a federal government housing grant administered by the  HUD, and distributed approximately $1 billion annually to states and participating localities. The program comes with a matching requirement under which receiving communities must match every dollar of HOME funds with 25 cents of local resources.
