FedEx small business grants to help address a number of small business issues

Since 2012, FedEx has been helping small business owners achieve their dreams by growing and expanding their ventures through FedEx small business grants contest. FedEx small business grant offers a total prize pool of $120,500, split between 10 U.S.-based small businesses, and includes a credit for print and business services from FedEx Office, and discounts on FedEx products and services.   

Each of the 2023 FedEx small business grant contest winners will receive $30,000 plus $1000 FedEx office print credit, a $3,00 voucher from My FedEx Rewards, and access to FedEx Premier Customer Service. All winners of FedEx small business grants will also receive a sustainable packaging consult from FedEx Packaging Lab, and an invitation to attend a FedEx Grant Winner Forum.
  

It’s not only FedEx small business grant winners who will go home with their prizes. The top 100 finalists will receive a financial consultation with Accion Opportunity Fund, and be provided with free access to the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (I.C.I.C.).

  

In 2022, the FedEx small business grant contest attracted close to 18,000 entrants from across the US. Over the past ten years, the contest has seen more than 68,000 businesses entering it, and more than $1.6 million in cash and prizes distributed to more than 111 businesses.   

  
The 2023 FedEx Small Business Grants contest is open 

 

The 2023 FedEx Small Business Grants contest is open to US-based for-profit small businesses that have up to 99 employees, and have been selling products or services for six months or more as of January 31, 2023, and have a shipping and printing need. 

  

The application process for FedEx small business grant is open to U.S.-based for-profit small businesses. You must write a short profile about your business, and include four photos of your business or product including its logo. Applicants are also encouraged to submit a 90-second elevator speech video to supplement their entry. Winners are selected from a combo public voting/judging process, so participants are encouraged to share their participation with their social networks to boost votes. After the judging period, 10 small businesses are awarded prizes as follows:   


  • Grand prize: One winner of $25,000, plus $7,500 in FedEx Office print and business services  


  • Silver prize: One winner of $15,000, plus $5,000 in FedEx Office print and business services  


  • Bronze prize: Eight winners of $7,500, plus $1,000 in FedEx Office print and business services

The FedEx small business grants program allows winners to receive up to 29% on several FedEx Express services, up to 25% on FedEx Express international services, and up to 20% on select FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery services. Participants will also receive up to 25% off black and white copies. Several past winners of FedEx small business grants have been able to greatly expand their businesses, using the grants to address a wide variety of small business issues. Some have reported moving to better office space, while others have used the grant money to improve the marketing reach, and enhance their packing material.
